This unit covered the four past tenses in the English language: past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. As this unit built upon the grammatical structures and concepts taught in the unit on present tenses, I did not find it to be as challenging as that unit was. However, I was glad to be able to build upon that knowledge by reviewing the four past tenses - especially the past perfect and past perfect continuous tenses, which are not used very often in the English language. After finishing this unit, I feel that I am continuing to grow in my abilities to understand and explain the various tenses to non-native English speakers.
