Within this unit, I was made aware of the pros and cons of teaching on a one-on-one basis versus in a group setting, for both the teacher and the student(s). For example, I never considered that if I were to teach a group of business people, they may in fact, fall into multiple levels of ability and that I may have to adjust my lessons on the spot to accommodate this particular scenario. In this unit, I also got an overview of the most popular methods of teaching. These teaching methods include grammar translation, audio lingualism, the 'silent way', task-based learning, PPP and ESA. All of which serves their purpose depending on the environmental situation.
