Unit nine introduces the use of coursebooks in order to guide the teacher. This part looks at the pros and the cons of using coursebook materials and how to successfully use them. We are presented to the different types of authentic and creative materials and how to effectively find an equilibrium when teaching. The coursebook should be regarded a guide and however we, as teachers, should not be dictated by the coursebook. Therefore, finding other creative and authentic materials or adapting the methodology can be a greater advantage. In addition, implementing tools to match the needs of our students and piquing the interest can produce a positive feedback.
