This unit focused on conditionals and reported speech. Each type of conditional; zero, first, second, third, and mixed, were defined with clear usage examples. Additionally, there were several examples of how the tense changes when reporting speech. I found this unit to be informative and packed with new information. As a native English speaker, I don't usually consider how the tense changes when I report what another person said because I know what it should sound like. I feel that this realization will help me better teach students because I am being shown in nearly every unit just how much hindsight bias I carry and how difficult learning English will be.
