Unit 6 focuses on the past tenses. We could see that the system and structure of the past tenses follow basically the same rules as the present tenses but in the past. It is important for the teacher to get the students to analyse and guess which form of the past is used in a sentence. For this lesson, the teacher must use all his creativity and dynamic to push the student to practise a lot ; through different games, task sheet, and group activities, the student must feel confident to tell a story that takes place in the past. Once again, a time scale should be drawn on the board to help the student to choose what form to use for each case. Teacher should motivate the students to gain a good knowledge of all the irregular verbs, which can be reviewed before each Tense class topic.
