As we can easily see, this unit reflects a lot of the same structure as the unit on \"present tenses\". It does give clear meaning which I have not experienced with other volumes on teaching English and for this, I am thankful. Although not a big fan of testing \"what I don't know\" as opposed to \"what I do know\", I guess we are still stuck back in the 70's when this was the norm.In this unit I learned that there is a need for preparation. Prior to the lesson, activities can be already on the board, I should utilize teacher talk time but attempt to maximize student talk time, basically find a balance. Interestingly, this unit made it clear on multiple occasions to never make threats to students unless those threats can be carried out per the school's policy.
