This unit really shows me that the ability of the teacher to teach is directly related to the desire of the student to learn. The art of teaching is to engage with the students so that they are very interested in the subject matter and are therefore very keen to master it. Virtually all aspects of teaching English will revolve around the age of the students and their desire to learn.Unit 10 is on Video Lessons. In this unit we are taught by example instead of instruction. We watch two videos. Each video is a ESA lesson that we will analyze. We get to see effective and ineffective examples of teaching English and then answer questions about each lesson. This is great because you get see the sharp contrast of different techniques and some habits to avoid or adopt.
