I feel that this unit is important because it reiterates the guidelines on the correct usage of the different kinds of past tense and its forms. We need to understand all these by heart because our students would usually count on what we teach them as factual and more often than not, they would memorize that. So it is very important to make sure that everything we teach them is correct.This unit is important because it allows the teacher to understand how to teach a new language. It is important to be able to identify what is necessary when teaching vocabulary and how to use the different methods and how students might react to them. It is also important to understand how students learn grammatical structures and language functions and the different types of lessons.
