This unit is based on around two ESA demonstration video lessons, presented by the same teacher to the same group of students. In the first lesson, the teacher deliberately makes a good number of errors causing the lesson not to be effective, while in the second lesson, the teacher effectively delivers the lesson in an effective manner. In the first lesson, the teacher jumps into class with no smile on the face and starts asking questions in a way that makes the students timid. He equally does much of the talking without while the students listened, thus making the lesson more teacher centered. He does not also give explanations as to what is required of the students, he does not use gesture, nor miming. Not leaving out the fact that he does not even knows the names of his students. In the second lesson, the teacher did the reverse of what he did in the second lesson and the lesson was successful.The students were more better exposed to the language as the teacher made use of pictures, gestures and miming. What i have learnt from this unit is that, the rapport between teacher and students is very important for a lesson to be a success or failure. I have also learnt that the students are not empty vessels. They have a lot of materials, but requires a teacher to be tactful to enable the students bring out what they know.
