Have learned many insights into both how to make teaching, and learning, more enjoyable for both teacher as well as student. From using ESA lesson plans, to better engaging students; each step is a vital link in the overall steps of the learning process. Another aspect this course helped me be more mindful of is the various methods of connecting the right learning materials, both formal course sources along with creative sources, in an intriguing way that infuses enthusiasm in the students to truly enjoy learning, while also bringing fun back into teaching. Throughout the many lessons, each went in depth both in material, but what I personally found most helpful, in the ?how to? with the ?whys? to teaching effectively, progressively, with developing the very much needed skills of teaching with purpose, focus, right attitude, and most of all the teacher is there to assist the students (young or old) in attaining a proficiency through language that will always serve them once they have learned it. Like the saying goes; ?Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he will eat for life!! ? To do this is the job of a teacher!! Especially learned from the multiple lessons that where preparation (of material as well as teaching attitude) meets opportunity (the minds of students there to learn) there really can be an amazing interactive learning take place where both teacher and students gain from the experience. This will be my template for teaching now. From the physical teaching, such as a lesson plan, to putting quality into each step, from the greeting, warm-up, to maximizing the students? time through engaging them more completely. While doing so, will structure, fine tune, the lesson to more effectively meet their needs, thus allowing me to achieve my goal, of helping them to learn how to utilize english as a means of expression in their daily lives.
