I have gained knowledge of many grammar items such as the difference between a noun, verb (auxiliary), adjective (comparative and super laxative), and adverb. I know what a pronoun, gerund, infinitive, preposition, conjunction and article are. I have gained knowledge on present, past, and future tenses such as the different kinds, their forms, usages, and teaching ideas. I know what irregular verbs are. I know the 5 different kinds of conditionals with their forms, usages, and teaching ideas. I know the difference between reported and direct speech. I know the differences between modal auxiliary verbs and their uses. I know the difference between passive and active voice. I know what a defining and non-defining relative clause is. I know the different types of phrasal verbs. I know the different intonations. I know where to place stress marks and what the phonemic alphabet is. I know several ways of joining english words. I have gained a thorough understanding of the ESA style teaching and the different types, like straightforward, boomerang, and patchwork. I know how to create one for the different levels of students. I know several ideas for engage, study, and activate (including games). I know about vocabulary, grammar, and language function, and how to incorporate it in to the ESA style teaching. I know how to incorporate reading, listening, writing and speaking in to the ESA style. I know the different teaching methods. I know a lot about feedback, instruction and correction. I know how to use position, eye contact, gesture, and voice in the classroom. I know the different types of grouping students and classroom arrangements. I know their advantages and disadvantages. I know how to handle the board, giving individual attention, and maintaining discipline. I know the importance of teacher talking time and student talking time. I know how to plan and monitor lessons. I know the different teaching aids and the advantages and disadvantages of each and what they are used for. I know the different evaluations and tests. I know how to teach special groups like beginners, individuals, children, business students, multilingual students, and monolingual students. I know how to troubleshoot several problems in class such as rapport between students and between students and the teacher. I know how to handle other problems like different levels in one class, lack of motivation, large classes, avoiding mother tongue, and reluctant students. Based on what I have learned, I plan to combine this information in a way to make ESA style teaching lessons for students overseas from America. I will also go to english schools in America and make ESA style lessons for them as a volunteer.
