Having taught english for about ten years, you could say, ?You can?t teach an old dog new, tricks?, but it would be wrong. This course has cemented my belief that students speaking time is very important in a lesson. It has also reminded me about many teaching methods that have collected cobwebs in my brain and forgotten. I have already incorporated many of the activities/games in my current lessons. I have found the course to be refreshing and it has invigorated me to become a better teacher. Also, the grammar units were very good for me. I learnt many new ways to explain and deal with the practice of it, in the lesson. I think one should be tested periodically to sharpen ones skills. Those units have not only improved my way of teaching grammar, but sharpened my own awareness of it. Some of my friends asked me why I was taking the test, having taught for so long. Now, I can tell them that it really was helpful. I would truly recommend this course to other.
