There are an overwhelming amount of things that I have learned from this course. A lot of this brings me back to the days in primary school when we were first learning the formulation of the english language. As we grow, you automatically begin to use correct pronunciation and grammar without giving it thought. Never have I asked myself, ?do I want to answer that question in the past perfect or past perfect continuous?? Having to refresh and think about the formulations of english really threw me for a curve. Another way I have gained from this course is how to conduct a class, cater to the students? needs, and make it flow throughout the lesson. We have all had experience in classrooms, but as a student I don?t think there is much thought into how the teacher has the lesson planned and laid out. Everyone says that teachers have the best jobs because they get summers off. No one thinks that they might make up for that time in endless hours of planning and grading during the school year. Lessons need to be creative, fun, and well thought out. As we saw in the first part of the Unit 10 video, the teacher didn?t put any effort or care into his lessons. What?s the point of teaching if you don?t care about what you do? You obviously can?t be in it for the money. As I enter the classroom, I hope to utilize this new found knowledge to the best of my ability. This course has been tremendously helpful in teaching the basics as well as giving lots of tips and suggestions for different techniques and activities to make the lessons flow.
