I have definitely learned a lot from this course. Beforehand, I had the idea that teaching english was a simple task, especially for english speakers like me. Nonetheless, the course allowed me to see the different areas and considerations that must be carefully thought of and planned, such as lesson plans, learning materials, the types of learners, etc., in order to attain an increased teaching-learning success. The grammar lessons have also served as a refresher as I have taken this up a long time ago. I?m glad that I still remember what adverbs, modal auxiliary verbs, and nouns are as well as how they are used. Through the readings, worksheets, and comments from my tutor, I have also gained the confidence to take on the role of english teacher. Now I feel ready and equipped since I have been provided with the information and learning needed. Based on what I have leaned, I will always make sure that my lesson plans are organized and my activities are suitable and fun for my students. With regard to materials, I would like to use authentic materials as much as possible. As a teacher, I will never forget the value of knowing the needs and level of my students. I should be able to work around the student?s capacity, not the student adjusting to or working around what I would like. At the end of the day, it is about the students learning the english language.
