Although I have been teaching for 23 years, this course has developed my awareness of teaching methods, such as ESA?Engage, Study and Activate. I have also benefited from classroom management, correction techniques, introducing new language and how to plan lessons using ESA. During the time, watching video of classes was extremely helpful. I have learnt about how to use authentic materials and how to create my own materials, applying grammar points to Activate phase activities. In the meanwhile, I have learnt a lot from the respected teachers here, who have high spirit of dedication in teaching. Although there are many differences in the education system between China and New Zealand, I am going to digest what has been taught here in the limited time and put it in my future teaching. This period of study is finished but it does not mean the end. I will keep on learning to be a more qualified teacher, as a saying tells us: Live and learn. And I will put it this way: Teach and learn.
