Teacher should try to learn students? name and address them by their first name, which will make them feel more comfortable and friendlier. Good atmosphere in the class doesn?t only help for making a good relationship between student and teacher but also provide better learning experience for the students and will definitely be rewarding for the teacher. It is also important that the teacher designs parts of lessons which will help to build rapport between both of them. students and teacher playing together would be a good starting point. Teacher can tell informative things during the class related to the topic to make the class more interesting. It should be helpful to provide opportunity to build good relationship. One important thing that I should mention that teacher should be honest to his students at all times. It means that the teacher respect their students and appreciates their learning abilities. Factors that work in favor of good rapport between teacher and students are that teacher should always show his enthusiasm of teaching. Teacher should not forget to reward students? comments and should encourage them to put questions. Smile and eye contact with each student ? but no staring - are another good way to achieve goal of rapport. To sum up, I can say that rapport between teacher and students in class is the most important method in teaching. Teacher?s enthusiasm, determination, attitude, organizing skills, ability to interact with students are keys for better understanding and relationship with students. Good rapport with students is essential for the students and for good atmosphere in the classroom. With this, teacher not only achieves a good relationship but also a better learning experience.
