The course has been planned perfectly and touches the important areas in teaching of the english Language. What I personally felt was that, though we had learnt the Grammar in School and Colleges, most of it had been digested and it was in fact a very good exercise of revisiting it once again. Over the years the Language used in everyday use has also become common and during the course I had to make efforts as to whether I am using the correct words, phrases and sentences. What for me was most important was the learning of the phonemic symbols, as I had not learnt the same earlier. While checking the dictionary, I used to wonder about those symbols but never had a chance of understanding the same. However, thanks to the TEFL course, I at least understand the basics of phonetics. I have decided of doing a thorough learning of the phonetics and think it is a must for all the students learning the english language to have the knowledge of the phonemic symbols. Further, I feel that we have learnt the different teaching skills and the same can be applied in all the fields of teaching and are not restricted to the teaching of english Language. A thought which comes to the mind is that I would have been a better equipped student if I had a chance of a TEFL teacher teaching me at my school level. As I have plans of traveling to Belgium after two months, I am looking forward to use all my expertise learnt in the process of teaching of the english Language for the benefit of my students. The course has no doubt boosted our confidence of entering the classroom and using the best devised practices in the teaching of english Language the world over.
