This unit is a very helpful complement to unit 9 which introduced new teachers to lesson planning. Unit 17 goes even further by providing detailed information about the proper use of equipment common to most ESL classrooms; the unit also included a wealth of resource links that will be very important to me as an ESL teacher in regards to preparing lessons and communicating with colleagues.This unit talked about the use of course books and lesson materials. I think it was a topic which needed to be discussed, although I think that the majority of language schools would not allow teachers to choose their own course books, I think this is already chosen for them. Teachers who are permitted to choose their own material are very lucky as they have a greater say in their lessons.
