Unit 11 overviewed the essential receptive skills of reading and listening and the different ways in which we use them. In the classroom, encouraging the students to read and listen will involve the teacher preparing interesting topics and observing the students personal abilities in order to structure the lesson accordingly. Reading and listening is key to acquiring any language for daily use.This Unit focuses on the teaching receptive skills. It highlights the four basic skills in learning a language. These skills include receptive skills, reading and listening skills, Productive skill, and speaking and writing. This lesson focused on the receptive skills (reading and listening). Although this Unit was relatively shorter than the others, I feel confident that I have learned a lot.
