In this unit, speaking and writing are both important. We use them because it has communicative purpose, something to say , listening to something and what is being said. When we speak, both accuracy and fluency are both important. In accuracy activities are concentrated on producing correct language while fluency activities are focus on how the students to experiment and be creative with language.This unit, together with the video, provided a good opportunity to practice creating lesson plans. However, I struggled to gauge the level at which students are taught certain grammar points, for example, modal auxiliary verbs. I was also not sure to what extent/depth the grammar point should be explained or demonstrated during the study phase, but the video did ultimately provide that information.
