This unit deals with teaching productive skills which are speaking and writing. Once again I thought the lesson was very informative. Teachers should be able stimulate comunication in their students if they want the activity to be successful. Both accuracy and fluency are important. During the study phase there is greater focus on accuracy, whereas fluency has higher consideration in the activity phase.In this unit, I learned about pronunciation, intonation, and stress. This was a needed unit, in that this aspect of language learning, especially intonation, is overlooked. It was interesting to see how saying the same sentence with different intonation dramatically changed the meaning of the sentence. This is an area that the teacher must not overlook, since it is a vital part of communicating correctly.
