In any new teaching position a teacher will meet new groups of students as well as existing groups. First thing the teacher has to make them know each other in their new group and in this process the teacher also gets to them. By use of questionnaires/survey the teacher will find out their needs, interests and language levels which will help in making the course syllabus. Teachers face different levels and abilities in a group and where the ability is wide different materials will be used. Large classes will also be difficult to manage and a teacher may use worksheets, pair/group work among others. In this unit I have learnt how to deal and manage reluctant students in the classroom among others.
