This unit gave me a better understanding of present tense. I feel as if I now have a better understanding of present perfect and present perfect continuous tenses. I understand know that both of these tenses are tricky for English Learners. Present perfect is used for past actions that occurred at an indefinite time and for past actions with present results. Present perfect continuous has a focus on duration. We use present perfect continuous when we want to communicate about how long an activity or action has been happening and also for a recently finished activity with present results. I also acquired some great teaching ideas such as miming, 20 questions, prompt activities, and picture activities.
