In this unit I have learned about the importance of course development. Before creating a syllabus, it is important to know the level of the students. Also, it is important to create a needs-analysis. In the needs-analysis it becomes clear what the focus of the class should be. Regular testing is important to know the level of the students. It is advisable to give a progress test somewhere around the half of the course. This gives an idea of the level of the students. Also, it is important to do a course evaluation at the end of the course. This gives you the opportunity to evaluate the material, gives students an opportunity to give feedback and the information can be used to report to the employer.
