Unit 5 talks about classroom management and how to achieve this effectively by applying a lot of useful techniques. The teacher has to establish a good eye contact with his students. He must make use of good gesture, his voice and students? names. In this unit I have learnt how to group my students as a whole, groups and pairs. I have also learnt the pros and cons of organising their seating as orderly rows, horseshoes and separate desks. I have gained a lot of information about how to write on a board, how to increase STT and reduce TTT, how to give effective instructions, establishing a good rapport with my learners and maintaining discipline by knowing how to respond to problem behaviour.
