This unit allowed me to review my knowledge regarding nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns and prepositions/conjunctions. Grammar is the basis of communication and the better the grammar, the easier it is to understand the purpose and meaning of a message. As a fluent English speaker, I find myself using grammar in my everyday speech without being aware of why I am using it. Taking the order of the adjectives as an example, I do not think of the rule anymore as I just find that it does not sound good to use any other order. Nonetheless, as an English student, grammar was a central topic as it helped me to develop the habit of thinking logically and deliver my message clearly.
