This unit 13 deals with teaching pronunciation and phonology. It explains phonology, and the patterns of intonation as well as the techniques for indicating and teaching intonation. It explains stress and how it works with syllables, lack of stress and the techniques for indicating and teaching stress. It explains phonemic symbols and it talks about the place of articulation as well as the manner of articulation and it gives you the teaching techniques for the pronunciation of individual sounds. I found this unit very helpful as I learnt better how to stress some syllables and I manage to revise my knowledge of the phonemic symbols; and I also learnt how to put it into practice in my teaching lessons.
