In the first part of unit 9 I learned about the two different groups of materials which are authentic materials and created materials. Authentic materials can not be graded for a level since they can be anything a native speaker would hear or listen to. But they do boost student confidence when the teacher uses them in class. Created materials on the other hand are created to supplement course book work. They are grade able and are good to use in the classroom because they controlled by the teacher. They can be gap-fill, crosswords, role-play and flashcards. The second part of the lesson was learning about the different type of course books and the advantages and disadvantages of them in the classroom.
