This unit provided an interesting aspect to the true role and engagement of a teacher in the classroom. The Engage, study and activate lesson plan is an easy and yet effective way to conduct a lesson. I say this because each stage and it's activities complement the next. It is important for teachers to to encourage students, elicit interest, mediate, stimulate learning, actively and theoretically. All these principles are emphasised in the ESA teaching method. Notably this methods encompasses the presentation, practice and production methodology which is arguably the most effect means of teaching English. I have found the ESA method would prove to be very effective and efficient when put into practice.
