This unit went over many of the different types of equipment that may be found in a classroom and how best to utilize them. Overhead projectors allow the teacher to face the students more, but whiteboards provide more space to work and demonstrate ideas. CDs and video recorders are also useful, not only for the teacher to provide native samples of the language, but also for students to use to help study and hear their own progress. There are many types of equipment for teachers to use as resources to better demonstrate concepts and engage students, and this unit not only covered what they are, but how to use them and provided example activities as well to help future teachers brainstorm lesson plans.
