As a teacher, this was an interesting first unit to go through - especially as a refresher! I have recently completed my student teaching practicum at an international school, where many of my students were fluent in English but sometimes had difficulty, because English was their second (or even third) language. Sometimes as native English speakers, we forget some of the most basic difficulties that students have in the classroom, like talking too fast, correcting small errors, or going to extremes like talking too much (90 percent of class time) or talking too little (leaving students to facilitated activities without any sort of lecture). It is definitely important to strike a balance between the two!
