In this unit, I have learnt how useful of a tool learning materials and texts are. As Tefl teachers, it is important to know the different uses or purposes of authentic and non-authentic materials.Exploring their uses creates dynamism in the classroom environment and encourages students participation. Another area highlighted is the importance of using a lesson plans, from oulining the objectives to the procedures, serves as a guide when teaching any lesson. Finally, coure books or text books are also very useful as it adds 'color' to a lesson. It is easy to use and students are expecting to use them. One should bear in mind that a course book should be supplimentary and not to use for the entire lesson.
