Unit 10 overview. Unit 10 was helpful to know the different tests involved when evaluating a student's knowledge of their English skills such as; progress tests-periodical testing to see what a student knows from the language taught already, diagnostic tests- seeing what a student knows before they start your course to help you prepare the materials to work on their problematic areas, practice tests- following a curriculum or format to prepare them for an external exam or standard testing exam. Learning about all the different general exams given to test a students level of English was extremely over loading and confusing with all the acronyms and vague idea of which test would be done in which countries.
