Teachers should pay special attention when choosing what books and materials they should incorporate into their daily lessons. Having a course book in class certainly has its advantages but a teacher should never solely rely on the materials within the book when planning activities for their classes. Teachers should use the book as a resource and possibly as a means to organize the trajectory of their lessons but never as a replacement of other creative and engaging activities a teacher can come up with on their own or through other resources. Teachers should also consider whether or not they should incorporate authentic materials or created materials. Both of which have their advantages and disadvantages.
