In this unit we were provided with videos of two lessons given by the same instructor for the same subject: modal verbs. In the first lesson, it is readily noticeable by the instructors body language, tone of voice, and various actions that he is frustrated, condescending, and generally uninterested in teaching, while in the second lesson is exactly the opposite: his voice, his body language, and his positive attitude toward the students create an extremely positive atmosphere whereby the students were much more engaged and interested in learning. With such a positive atmosphere the instructor was effectively able to use a pictures and miming techniques that allowed the students to easily acquire vocabulary.
