This unit covers the last unit of English grammar in this course which includes modals, phrasal verbs, defining and non-defining clauses, and passive voice. By knowing the usage and the language function of this grammar points, teachers will be able to create a well put lesson plan. Especially in covering the modals, the modals usage covers obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability, advice and differing degrees of formality. There has been a few of my students who still haven't got a good grasp of the degree of formality use of modals. This degree is important to learn especially for those students who are planning to live abroad and might face different culture for such formality.
