Within this unit, evaluation and tests were covered. If a teacher is to evaluate their students, teachers can use tutorials, student evaluations and/or tests. There are a variety of tests including placement (used to place student in an English class), diagnostic (used to see the level of students in a class so that teachers can better prepare relevant materials to meet the student's needs), progress test (to see what students have retained and have lost from past lessons) and practice tests (used to prepare students for external exams). Students have the option of taking a variety of external tests, so teachers should also take those goals into consideration when deciding how best to evaluate their students.
