In this unit the management of classes has been covered and the different factors that influence these. Such elements such as class size, age of students, level of learning etc are all things which must be taken into account when suitably managing a a class and making sure that they benefit the most from what is being taught. The teacher must also be effective in the way they conduct themselves towards the class, such as use eye contact, tone of voice, naming students and group or individual activities. The teacher should have a good knowledge of her class and activities and the best way to instruct the class, such as if for a given activity whole class discussions would be better than individual or pair work.
