This was the most difficult unit to grasp thus far. Although I use the tense system in my everyday vernacular, I don't really think about the most proper way to form specific sentences. From my knowledge before this unit, I was only aware of the past, present, and future tenses. I found it incredibly beneficial to have a better understanding of the tense system and their 4 aspects (simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous), and I will make sure to refer back to what I learned from this unit in the future, especially when teaching a class. Since studying this unit, I have been practicing applying my knowledge by identifying the different aspects of the present tense within the literature that I read.
