I think that the most helpful aspect of this unit was learning how to maximize the student's time in the classroom by allowing them to get the most out of the class. Teachers can do this in the way that they group students, arrange the classroom, having more student talk time, etc. In addition to this, I learned that as the teacher it is vital for the classroom environment to establish a good connection between teacher and students as well as between students. If this is not accomplished then the class will not be cohesive and as a result, the students will be unable to learn. So as the teacher, we need to be aware of ourselves, our body language, eye contact, and voice in addition to the needs of the students.
