Unit 18: Modals, Phrasal Verbs and Passive Voice marks the end of looking at English grammar in this course. Modal auxiliary verbs are discussed - the basic rules are relayed in a simple chart. Then, passive voice is discussed. Passive voice is the opposite of active voice, which is more mainly used in the English language. The formation of passive voice is discussed, usage of it, and teaching ideas. Then, relative clauses are introduced, and three types of phrasal verbs are explained. Overall, there were a lot of tough concepts in this unit, but I now feel much more comfortable with modal auxiliary verbs, phrasal verbs and the passive voice in English, and could comfortably teach these concepts to a classroom.
