This unit covered the four past tenses. The tenses are: past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. I found the usage definitions difficult to comprehend so I was constantly thinking of how to teach the tenses. I appreciated the activity ideas for three of the tenses. I would have liked an activity idea for the past perfect continuous. That tense had the shortest usage description and no activity ideas. Although that is a tense I use a lot as a native speaker, I never think about why I use it. That is actually helpful to me to struggle a bit. If I get frustrated than an English language learner would be more so. I plan on reviewing this unit often to really assimilate the information.
