Unit 16 covered the topics of Conditionals and Reported Speech. Conditionals are If, then statements or situations that have a condition with a consequence. This chapter explained all of the various forms of Conditionals along with their correct grammatical forms. In addition, modal verbs were introducted. The other topic that was discussed was Reported Speech and Direct Speech and the various methods of how to correctly change the verb tenses along with the pronouns and time reference so that whatever is being reported from the past is accurately communicated to the listener. I learned a lot from this chapter; it was an in-depth chapter that explained the basic points of grammar in a very clear and concise way.
