Unit 1 breaks down the qualities and roles of a good teacher, a good learner and language levels. A good teacher is a mixed of an outgoing personality, expert in the subjec and carer for the learners. While, for a good learner there must be a mix of willingness, desire, motivation and curiosity for learning; yet because age, culture and English level (key factors), the teacher plays an important role especially when it comes to motivation. Personally with this unit, I was able to grasp more the fact that a teacher has to go through different roles in order for the teaching and learning to flow during one class, while focusing on the language level and motivation is extremely important for a learner?s success.
