This lesson focuses on the productive skills of writing and speaking. These skills are essential for developing English communication skills. One point that was mentioned in this lesson that is interesting is that writing is one of the most underdeveloped skills while learning English. From past experience I have certainly seen this among the Chinese students that I have interacted with. This inspires me to think creatively on how to help students develop their creative writing skills. Another helpful tip is that the important things to correct regarding writing is not penmanship (as long as it is legible) or punctuation (as long it is not incorrect). These things often vary according to personal preference or habit.
