I learned three important things in this unit. First is 'know'. The teacher should know what type students is he/she going to teach, how far are they in terms of knowledge in English, their specific needs, etc. Second is 'adjust'. The teacher should be flexible enough to consider several factors about the student's profile so he/she can tailor fit the lesson that is suitable for the student's needs and specific objectives. Third is 'balance'. This is applicable to teachers who are handling a whole class of 30 and above. There will always be stronger and weaker students in terms of knowledge and skills acquired in English, thus, the need to balance the activities given to students and the teaching strategies to apply.
