Unit 3 consisted of learning the various theories, methodology, and techniques related to teaching a second language. I learned a lot about the advantages and disadvantages to each technique. Not only did the material focus on the explanations, it also provided plenty of examples. I understood the benefits of using the ESA method to teach. The unit also provided detailed ideas and activities to incorporate into each phase of ESA, which was very helpful. I learned the importance of praise and positivity when giving feedback and corrections. Overall, the unit was highly informative. It provided tips and highlighted the best way to execute a technique, while considering the students' best interest and learning in mind.
