This unit provides a comprehensive overview of conditionals in the English language as well as the reported and direct speech. In the first section, the structures, usages and teaching ideas for the activation stage for the zero, first, second, third and mixed conditionals are presented. The second part contains the rules for making reported speech from direct speech: the changes in tenses, pronouns, time expressions. It also contains typical errors and mistakes students make when learning about these grammar points. The most interesting part of the unit for me was the teaching ideas for the activate stage of the lesson, particularly the nuclear bunker role play, which I think will be very entertaining for my students.
