In this unit, the grammar of certain words that indicate ability and certainty and politeness were taught. These can be confusing for students, I certainly found the relative clauses the most confusing, and should be taught not only with study but also used as naturally as possible to ensure understanding of their uses. This units grammar would be best taught with repetition and review on a frequent basis, especially in the intermediate and advanced English classes. I feel I've learned a bit more about how we imply slight differences in meaning with different modals and how an English learner must be careful when using certain modals in their speech, lest they are misunderstood or imply a different meaning than intended.
