This unit cover the many different theories. techniques, and methods of teaching the English lesson. Some methodologies include, but are not limited to, grammar translation, audio-lingualism, and the silent way. The unit describe what each of these methodologies are, how they are taught, and the different positives and negatives to each separate one. The unit also heavily focuses of the 'ESA' method. This method stands for the steps known as engage, study, and activate. The unit describes how each step is to be presented and how the students and teacher should interact with one another. The unit also lays out what type of activities should be presented for each step and how correction should be incorporated into the lesson.
